The State Border Service and the Ministry of Health will conduct temperature screening of all citizens arriving in Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov during a Coordination Meeting on the Coronavirus Control Situation, the Interior Ministry’s press service reports.

"Temperature screening is obligatory for all citizens arriving in Ukraine from any country of the world, both by air and through all road and rail checkpoints at the border of Ukraine. There are 29 such points with the EU countries, and overall - 232. Today, for example, such groups examined about 1000 people at the Tisa checkpoint," he said.

Avakov also noted that the temperature control would also be introduced at the entry-exit checkpoints at the line of demarcation with temporarily occupied Crimea and certain regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

As we reported earlier, the head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Serhiy Daineko organized reinforced security measures at the Tisa customs office.

Temperature screening of people traveling to Ukraine started at the Tisa customs office at the border with Hungary on February 25. Border guards are provided with the temperature measuring instruments and individual protection equipment.
