Armed Forces of Ukraine repel enemy attacks near 16 settlements.

Over the past day, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled Russian attacks near 16 settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in an morning update on Facebook on January 16, Ukrinfrm reports

"Over the past day, the enemy launched two missile strikes and carried out more than 55 attacks using MLRS, in particular on the civil infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions. There is still a threat of air strikes and missile attacks," the report says.

According to the General Staff, the enemy is conducting offensive operations in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka directions, but is suffering significant losses in manpower.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks near the settlements of Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske, Krasnopolivka, Spirne, Sil, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Novobakhmutivka, Velyka Novosilka, Prechystivka, Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, Mayorsk and Marinka in Donetsk region.

"Over the past day, Ukrainian aircraft launched nine strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy manpower and two strikes on the positions of their air defenses. In turn, units of the rocket troops and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit one command post, six areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment, one ammunition depot and one electronic warfare system of the enemy," the General Staff said.

As reported, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have already eliminated about 115,290 Russian invaders.
