The film Numbers was directed remotely and it is unique for the Ukrainian film industry. Akhtem Seitablaev became the co-director of the movie. During the work on the movie, Sentsov was kept in the strict regime colony in the north of Russia and Seitablaev and producer Anna Palenchuk implemented his idea. Oleg and Akhtem discussed the working process in the letters; according to Anna, there were more than a hundred of them.
The grotesque drama says about imprisoned society, which tries to fight its fears and get the freedom. Everything in the world of Numbers obeys to the strict system and supreme governor – Null. Ten heroes got used to turn around in circles and do everything in accordance with the book of Rules. They have no possibility to choose how to live and whom to love. But life changes with the coming of a new citizen who does not know the current rules. It violates the calm of passive power. Suddenly, the abiding faith of Numbers falls into pieces. They want to decide their faith on their own, get the names and create the new world with the ruling of their rules. The numbers refuse from the old regime but whether the new one will be better?
