Ukraine's new ambassador begins diplomatic mission in Qatar.

Newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Qatar Andrii Kuzmenko presented copies of credentials to State Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar H.E. Soltan Al Muraikhi, the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in Qatar has reported.

"After the official ceremony the parties discussed issues of further development and deepening of Ukrainian-Qatari relations," the statement reads.

The Qatari official wished the ambassador of Ukraine every success in fulfilling his important mission in the State and assured him of providing all support to upgrade bilateral relations between the two friendly countries to closer cooperation in various fields.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Kuzmenko as Ukraine's ambassador to the State of Qatar on December 19, 2019.
