Ukraine's Deputy Health Minister, Chief Medical Officer Viktor Liashko has said the country changed the rules of entry for foreigners and Ukrainians who return from abroad.

"The border crossing rules for foreigners and Ukrainians who return from abroad are changing from August 1... People who arrive from green-zone countries must have an insurance policy and will be allowed to enter the territory of Ukraine without self-isolation and testing," he said at a briefing on August 1, an UNIAN correspondent reports.

According to Liashko, Ukrainians and foreigners who travel from red-zone countries must have an insurance policy, and must either undergo 14-day self-isolation, or undergo a PCR testing within 24 hours, or arrive in Ukraine with the results of testing made no later than 48 hours before the border crossing.

The official also said Ukraine had changed the criteria to determine which zone the country belongs to. Liashko said these criteria and the list of countries would be published on the Health Ministry's official website in the near future.
