Kyiv mayor reports 105 new COVID-19 cases in past day.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the city rose by 105 in the past day.

"In the past day, another 105 residents of Kyiv tested positive for the coronavirus, including five healthcare workers. There was one fatality," he said on Telegram on July 3.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 5,347.

According to Klitschko, 57 women aged 20 to 84 and 40 men aged 20 to 94 are among those infected. In addition, three girls (from five to 13 years old) and five boys (from two to 15 years old) tested positive for the coronavirus.

Klitschko said 15 new patients had been hospitalized, while the rest were self-isolating, undergoing treatment at home under the supervision of doctors.

Ninety-one people recovered from the disease in the past day, he said.

In total, 1,733 Kyiv residents have already recovered.

The highest number of the new cases in Kyiv was registered in Dniprovsky region (23), Darnytsky district (18), and Solomyansky and Desniansky districts (13 each).

As UNIAN reported earlier, there were 46,763 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of the morning of July 3. They include 1,212 deaths and 20,558 recoveries. Some 876 new cases were recorded in the past 24 hours.
