Conor McGregor to visit Kyiv

On October 22, former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion will visit the capital of Ukraine. The reason for McGregor's arrival is not reported. First, he will meet with media representatives at Champion Hall and then will attend a holiday party.

Conor McGregor is the ambassador of Parimatch, a Ukrainian company. In addition to that, fighters of the Straight Blast Gym, who came to fight in Kyiv multiple times, are connected with the Ukrainian MMA-promoted World Warriors Fighting Championship (WWFC).

Conor McGregor is one of the most famous MMA fighters in the world. In 2015, he was UFC lightweight champion. On August 27, 2017, he took boxing bout against Floyd Mayweather, losing via TKO in 10th round. The last fight of Irishman was against Khabib Nurmagomedov that took place in Las Vegas on October 7, 2018, which ended in the way of submission in the fourth round.

According to The New York Times, McGregor is under investigation in Ireland after a woman accused him of sexual assault in December, according to four people familiar with the investigation.

McGregor has not been charged with a crime. Following the usual protocol in criminal investigations in Ireland and much of Europe, where a formal charge does not necessarily follow an arrest, McGregor was arrested in January, questioned by law enforcement authorities and released pending further investigation, according to the people.
