The United States will continue to work closely with Ukraine to uphold its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and defense capabilities in the face of Russian aggression.
Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said during a meeting with Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"We will continue to consult with you, our partners and allies in the region, on the development of the situation, as well as on how to ensure regional security in the best way," said the U.S. Secretary of Defense.
He reiterated the United States' unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"We remain committed to supporting Ukraine in its efforts to implement deep and comprehensive defense sector reforms," the Pentagon chief said.
As reported, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov arrived on a visit to the United States to discuss the security situation around Ukraine, as well as issues of cooperation with the United States.
