Ukraine’s Svitolina loses in first round of WTA Premier tournament.

Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina had an unsuccessful start at the WTA Premier in Dubai.

Svitolina faced American Jennifer Brady. Elina was able to win only three games in the entire match. As a result, Jennifer Brady got a decisive victory - 6:2, 6:1.

It is worth noting that Elina Svitolina won the title twice in Dubai - in 2017 and 2018.

As we reported earlier, Ukraine's Svitolina lost in the 1/16 finals of the Australian Open. She faced the Spanish athlete Garbiñe Muguruza.

The Ukrainian player was not able to adapt to the style of her Spanish counterpart. Muguruza was "sharper" and more precise on the court, which secured her a dominant victory over Svitolina.

Another Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska left the tournament in the second round. She faced experienced Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark.

In the first set, Dayana was very close to victory, leading the way 5:1. But she lost six games in a row, and Wozniacki's comeback followed in the second set - after Yastremska's initial advantage of 3:0.
