On the sidelines of the COP 27 climate summit, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni discussed the need for further joint response to Russian aggression in Ukraine.

The office of the Italian prime minister said that the two leaders discussed the main challenges facing the international community starting with the need for a united response to Russian aggression in Ukraine.
Meloni and Sunak underlined the importance of cooperation between Italy and the UK in the G7 and NATO.
According to the office of the Italian prime minister, the two countries will be able to strengthen the transatlantic bond together.
