Woman given five per cent chance of conceiving becomes a mum after her sister became her surrogate.

A WOMAN given a five per cent chance of conceiving has become a mum after her sister became her surrogate.

Rebecca Frost, 34, spent five years and £2,000 on five rounds of IVF with hubby Bobby, 33.

After no success, and a devastating miscarriage, they considered adoption before sister Victoria Cunningham, 44, stepped in to help.

In June 2017, Bobby and Rebecca flew to the Czech Republic for a £3,000 procedure.

And two months later the sisters returned to have the embryo transferred.

Sales assistant Rebecca said: “Ten days later, Victoria took a pregnancy test. It was positive and we all burst into tears. Finally we felt excited that our dream was coming true.”

In April 2018, Victoria gave birth to 7lbs 8oz Lennon at St Peter’s Hospital in Surrey.

Rebecca, of nearby Ashford, said: “I cut the umbilical cord and it was so special holding him for the first time.

“Now Lennon is such a smiley boy and, every time I see his cheeky grin, I can’t believe he’s mine.

“We’ll tell him the truth when he’s older and we’ve started making him a storybook about how he was made. We’ll never be able to thank Victoria enough for this special gift.”

Victoria — mum to Olivia, 18, and Finley, 14, with hubby Terry, 44 — added: “When I first thought about surrogacy I wasn’t sure, but after discussing it with my family, I knew I had to help Rebecca.

“Lennon is the loveliest little boy and I’m so proud to be his auntie.”
