Odesa authorities say under which conditions beaches to be opened.

Some beaches in Odesa may be opened after June 5, but for this, the municipal authorities and tenants must fulfill a number of conditions to ensure people's safety.

The head of the Odesa District Administration Yuriy Kruk said this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine - Odesa, Ukrinform reports.

"The conditions are as follows: the bathing area must be fenced off by appropriate means. A fence with buoys every 50 meters should be stretched between the traverses. A net should be stretched near the piers or at the end of the traverses - it should be 30 centimeters above the water level, and its underwater part should be at least two meters. This makes it impossible for mines to get into the area of possible damage," emphasized Kruk.

He also clarified that the beaches should be equipped with observation posts at the end of the traverses, and rescuers with binoculars should be on duty on the beaches. In addition, evacuation routes to equipped shelters should be posted on the beaches and air raid warning systems should be installed.

The official added that access to the beaches will be open only from 8:00 to 20:00, and divers should periodically check the bottom.

By June 5, a specially created commission of the city council must submit proposals to the EMA on beaches that can be opened to people. After that, the final decision on access to the coast will be made by the JMA and the military command.

As Ukrinform reported, the Odesa District Military Administration reported preparations for partial access to the beaches from Lanzheron to the 16th station of the Big Fountain.
