British Transport Police tonight said the 24-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of sexual assault and four counts of common assault.

She remains in custody.

Stunned passenger John Mason, 49, from Stanford-le-Hope in Essex, filmed the incident and posted it online.

He wrote: "I was minding my own business yet this girl was upsetting everyone and at the end of the day, you have to take a stand. I suggested she get off at Barking, Purfleet and other stops.

"She smacked me in the face twice and grabbed a security guard. I've been there before and nothing happened so I walked away."

In the video, the woman was seen pointed at a female passenger and said: "Oh my god you thought you were going to f*****g say something and that it mattered."

She then gestured angrily in front of a male passenger as another commuter tried to calm her down.

DISRUPTIVE PASSENGER

She shouted at him: "Is that what you think, you think you can decide when something in this planet matters, is that what you think?"

Trying to reason with her, the man replied: "Calm down, calm down."

As she was led away, she saw John recording her and with her arms outstretched said: "Yeah film me what, yeah go on. What? What? What the f*** are you going to do?"

She was later seen shoving another passenger who told her: "Listen girl, you've had too much to drink."

She shouted back: "Come on then take me"

The woman then approached John again saying: "What? F****** take me."

Shen then appeared to grab his phone out of his hand and the footage ended.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said a female passenger was in custody after being arrested at Tilbury.

He said: "A 24-year-old woman is in custody this afternoon, after being arrested in connection to an incident on board a C2C train yesterday evening.

"The woman, who is from Bowers Gifford, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of sexual assault and four counts of common assault. She remains in custody as enquiries continue."

c2c have been approached for a comment.
