MUMS were in for a treat last night when heartthrob Tom Hardy appeared on CBeebies to read little ones a bedtime story.
The Peaky Blinders actor appeared on the BBC channel where he read Ross Collins’ There’s a Bear on My Chair, much to the delight of little ones – and their parents.
In fact even those whose children had long since outgrown the preschool channel admitted to settling down for a bedtime story with the actor.
And one super fan admitted that she was childless but would be tuning in to the children’s channel in order to catch the instalment.
CBeebies revealed that the clip, which first aired in 2017, would be shown again on the channel last night on Facebook.
Sharing a snippet of his performance, they wrote: “Tom Hardy? Where? There on the chair reading tonight's Bedtime Story!”
The clip received over 100,000 views and received, more than 1,300 comments from mothers excited for his return.
Commenting on the post one wrote: “I’m not even ashamed that I don’t have kids and will still be watching!”
“Thanks for the heads up, I’ll make sure I get home on time and put little man to bed early to watch it” joked another.
“My eldest child is 27 today but I’m watching CBeebies tonight alone lol” said another, while a fourth said “Because you’re never too old for a bedtime story.”
The 42-year-old has made several appearances on the CBeebies bedtime hour, each time causing a stir among mums.
Hollywood bad man Tom sent fans into a tizzy with his five bedtime stories last year, with the star's emotional final one dedicated to his six-year-old rescue dog, Woody, who passed away shortly after filming the episodes with the actor.
Orlando Bloom also set hearts aflutter when he was joined by his labradoodle puppy on the iconic segment last year.
