Russian-led forces violate ceasefire in Donbas five times.

Over the past day, five ceasefire violations were recorded in the Joint Forces Operation area in eastern Ukraine.

“In the area of responsibility of the operational and tactical group ‘East’, the armed formations of the Russian Federation opened fire from grenade launchers of various systems on Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); from heavy machine gun – outside Starohnativka (51km south of Donetsk),” the press center of the JFO Headquarters informs.

In the evening, the enemy became more active in the area of ​​responsibility of the operational and tactical group "North". The Russian occupation forces fired grenade machine guns, heavy machine guns and small arms near Popasna (69km west of Luhansk).

"Ukrainian defenders fired back. The OSCE representatives were informed about the facts of ceasefire violations committed by the armed formations of the Russian Federation through the Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC)," the Headquarters notes.

Ukrainian troops sustained no casualties.

Today, December 31, one ceasefire violation has been recorded. The enemy opened fire from a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher and small arms in the area of Starohnativka.
