“Despite the difficult situation, we held the disengagement near Zolote. We have done everything within the time limit and in safe manner. We are grateful to the military, to the OSCE and to everyone who helped us,” the President of Ukraine underlined.
Zelensky also noted that he personally visits the place where the disengagement of forces and equipment is planned to see the life conditions of local people and hear their attitude to the disengagement.
“We were in Stanytsia Luhanska. By the end of November, the bridge will be built there. Then we were in Zolote. We see that almost everyone is waiting for the disengagement,” he said.
Besides, Zelensky reported that the state power is solving the issues of infrastructure, access to the medical aid and doctors for the locals in Zolote.
As we reported earlier, on October 1, the sides agreed on the beginning of the disengagement of the forces in Zolote (Luhansk region) and Petrovske (Donetsk region) during the Trilateral Contact Group session.
On October 29, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko stated that the process of the disengagement of forces and equipment in Zolote village in the Luhansk region has begun, the next disengagement would be in Petrivske.
Later, the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation confirmed the disengagement of forces in Zolote, Luhansk region.
On November 1, the mirror disengagement of the forces was completed in Zolote-4.
