    DELE ALLI'S fine goal was a mere consolation for Tottenham as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester United.

    The Marcus Rashford-inspired hosts proved too much for Jose Mourinho's men as they ruined the Portuguese's return to Old Trafford.

    The Tottenham boss saw his side go down to a 2-1 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

    Defeat against his former employers sees Mourinho's perfect start to life as Spurs boss come to an end as they drop to 15th in the table.

    Dele Alli provided the main highlight for Spurs with a well taken equaliser on a night when they struggled to reach their best.

    DAN JAMES ensured Jose Mourinho had a eventful welcome back to Old Trafford after he clattered into the Tottenham boss.

    Competing for a ball with Harry Winks, the Welsh winger went tumbling off the pitch and left Mournho holding his knee after colliding with the Portuguese boss.
