New car sales in Ukraine decreased by 3% in 2020 - Ukrautoprom.

In 2020, 85,500 new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine, which is 3% less than in 2019, according to the Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Ukrautoprom).
In 2020, positive dynamics of sales of new passenger cars was recorded in January (up 34%), February (up 21%), June (up 12%), July (up 10%), September (up 6%), and December (up 7%). In December 2020, Ukrainians purchased and registered a record number of new passenger cars for 2020 - 9,801 vehicles.
The lowest volumes of sales were recorded in March (down 15%), April (down 47%), May (down 15%), August (down 16%), October (down 6%), and November (down 17%).
In 2020, Renault cars had the largest demand, with 14,360 cars registered. However, its share on the market of new passenger cars decreased by 2% from 2019. The most popular car model was Renault Duster, with 5,534 cars registered.
The second in terms of sales was Toyota, with 13,315 cars sold, up 6% from 2019. The most popular car model was Toyota RAV-4, with 5,689 cars registered.
KIA ranked third. It sold 6,089 cars in 2020, which is down 20% from 2019. The most popular car model was Sportage, with 5,043 cars registered.
The top 10 most popular passenger cars purchased in Ukraine in 2020 were also Skoda – 5,061 cars (down 19% from 2019); Hyundai – 4,031 cars (down 21%); Nissan – 3,834 cars (down 28%); Volkswagen – 3,690 cars (down 21%); Peugeot – 3,037 cars (up 28%); Suzuki – 2,966 cars (up 13%); Mazda – 2,844 cars (up 15%).
As reported by Ukrinform, 88,500 new cars were registered in the Ukrainian market in 2019, which is 8% higher than in 2018 (81,800).
