HARRY WINKS wants Tottenham to aim for Champions League glory.
The midfielder starred as Spurs thrashed Crystal Palace 4-0 on Saturday and is hopeful of more of the same in Europe.
The 23-year-old said: “We know, getting to the Champions League final, there is going to be high pressure on us getting there again and maybe to go one further and win it.
“We don’t read too much into that, we take it game by game.
“So our first thought is Olympiakos on Wednesday, we have to take that game as it comes and then hopefully we can get a result.
SON HEUNG-MIN has claimed the win over Crystal Palace is a reminder of how strong Tottenham are.
The South Korean star scored twice as Mauricio Pochettino's side won 4-0.
Speaking on the club website, he said: “This is a reminder of how strong we are. The players should know how strong we are and how we should play. Me as well.
“We can learn so many things. I hope we can always perform like this and then this season will be really positive.”
HUGO LLORIS hasn't ruled out the possibility of leaving Tottenham but insists that he is focused on Spurs' bid to reach another Champions League final.
The France captain has been at Tottenham since 2012 and said that, whilst it's possible he could finish his career in north London, he could also leave.
“You have to know how to say stop at the right time. I'm not against the idea of discovering something new”, he told France Football.
“It could also be the United States for example. I do not know.
“I have always had trouble looking at the medium term, I am more focused on the short term. In football, things are changing so fast. We are here now, tomorrow, we are elsewhere.
HUGO LLORIS believes Mauricio Pochettino is doing everything right at Spurs, and is the right man to keep leading the Premier League side to greater things in the future.
The Argentinean takes his team to face Olympiakos in the Champions League on Tuesday as they aim to repeat last year's surprise run to the final.
Lloris told France Football: “He and his staff are the ones who put us in the best conditions for us to do put out great performances. I have a strong relationship with him, both at professional and personal level.
“The chemistry was there straight away. I like his football idea, his personality. We grow together.”
PAUL MERSON praised England international Harry Winks for his performance in Tottenham’s 4-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Winks dictated the pace of Spurs' play from midfield as they hammered Roy Hodgson's team in north London.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the ex-Arsenal player said: “Tottenham made Crystal Palace look average. In the first 45 minutes, Spurs were back to the side we all know, but it’s already too late to catch Liverpool. Harry Winks is such a massive player for them, the way he gets the ball moving quickly.
“They looked a proper team and as soon as the first whistle blew, they meant business. They rolled the ball back to the centre-half, lumped it forward and Winks put it over the bar within 10 seconds. The fans didn’t have to wait. They took the game to Palace, and they didn’t know what day it was.”
