Russian-occupation forces in Donbas violate ceasefire 11 times over past day, one Ukrainian soldier killed, two soldiers wounded – JFO HQ.

Over the past day, Russian-occupation forces in Donbas violated the ceasefire 11 times, one Ukrainian serviceman was killed, two servicemen were wounded, the press center of the Joint Force Operation (JFO) headquarters said.

"Over the past day, on February 22, in the area of the Joint Force Operation, some 11 violations of the ceasefire were recorded. In the area of responsibility of the Skhid (East) task force, near the settlement of Avdiyivka, the Russian armed formations opened fire towards Ukrainian positions from various grenade launchers systems and small arms. As a result of enemy shelling, one soldier was killed, another soldier was wounded by shrapnel," the JFO headquarters said in a statement on Facebook on Tuesday morning.

In the area of responsibility of the Pivnich (North) task force, Russian-occupation forces fired aimed fire at Ukrainian positions from automatic heavy grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms near Pivdenne.

"As a result of the shelling, one serviceman from the Joint Forces was wounded. The soldier was promptly provided with medical assistance and taken to a hospital," the JFO headquarters said.

The OSCE representatives were notified of the facts of ceasefire violation through the Ukrainian side in the JCCC.

"Since the beginning of this day, on February 23, three violations of the ceasefire regime have been recorded. Thus, in the area of responsibility of the Pivnich task force, not far from the settlement of Zaitseve, Russian-occupation forces fired at Ukrainian positions from 82-caliber mortars and heavy anti-tank grenade launchers. As a result of the shelling, one soldier was killed, another soldier was wounded by shrapnel," the JFO headquarters said.
