President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Ukrainian side expects the next stage of the prisoners’ exchange. Ukraine prepares new lists for prisoner swap as 112 Ukraine reported.

“Now we talk about the next stage – after out political prisoners, sailors. I state freely that we prepare other lists and expect the next stage of the exchange,” Zelensky said.

On September 7, the prisoners’ exchange took place between Kyiv and Moscow in 35 for 35 format.

24 Ukrainian sailors and 11 political prisoners - already ex-political prisoners - captured by Russia over the past five years, returned to Ukraine. Faces of the released Ukrainian sailors, left activist Oleksandr Kolchenko, filmmaker Oleg Sentsov, journalist Roman Sushchenko, Crimean Tatar Edem Bekirov and the rest of former captives were seen in the crowd.

Earlier Zelensky appealed to the work partners of Ukraine to keep sanctions against Russia. He noted that the sanctions are the strict taxes in fact; they are necessary for the world order.
