Ukraine has enough testing systems for the diagnosis of coronavirus. Moreover, extra tests are purchased as Interfax-Ukraine reported citing Head of the parliamentary committee on nation's health, medical aid and health insurance Mykhailo Radutsky.
“There are enough testing systems. As for today, there are test systems passed by the World Health Organization. More test systems are purchased. Even more, two Ukrainian test systems are registered,” he said.
According to Radutsky, the Ukrainian citizens evacuated from Wuhan to Novi Sanzhry passed Ukrainian tests.
“The results are negative. If at least one test was positive, we would check with German tests for the purity of the experiment,” he said.
Radutsky also stated that people in observation feel good; they do not have symptoms of a cold.
Moreover, representative of the Public Health Center of the Healthcare Ministry Ihor Kuzin reported that not every region possesses the equipment for work with testing systems.
“There is no distribution among the regions. The testing systems can work only with particular equipment. Such equipment, unfortunately, is not present in all regions of the country. Most likely, the redistribution will take place in two-three days and we expect that the majority of the regional labs will get such consumables and will be able to hold analysis at the level of the regions,” he said.
Ihor Kuzin noted that regions, which will not fall under such redistribution, will be provided with a free possibility to hold analysis at the national level or closest regional lab.
Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk stated about the readiness of over 2,000 hospitals to accept people infected with coronavirus in case, the virus enters the territory of the country.
