Razumkov thanks Finnish president for support of Ukraine.

Verkhovna Rada Speaker Dmytro Razumkov has met with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto in the Verkhovna Rada and thanked him for political and economic support.

"I am very pleased to welcome you within the walls of the supreme legislative body of our state. I am grateful to you and your state for the support you give to Ukraine, both politically, economically, in terms of international relations and as part of the cooperation that we have been observing for many years," Razumkov said.

He also expressed hope that the newly elected Verkhovna Rada would be more efficient and better than it was before.

Niinisto, in turn, thanked Razumkov for the opportunity to discuss bilateral cooperation and the support that Finland would provide to Ukraine.

He added that he was glad to be in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

"This is probably the most interesting place for our visit. As soon as we arrived, we heard a loud buzzing noise in the hall, because a plenary meeting is being held there. So, work is going on in a very lively mode. We also saw during our visit that there are a lot of plans, and there is a lot of will to implement such plans," Niinisto said.
