Ukraine records 2,758 new COVID-19 cases per day, 5,550 recoveries.

As of Monday morning, 2,758 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were recorded in Ukraine, 5,550 people recovered and 154 patients died, Minister of Health of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov said.

"Some 2,758 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of April 3, 2021. In particular, 116 children and 23 medical workers fell ill. Also, over the past day, 1,591 people were hospitalized, 154 people died and 5,550 people recovered," Stepanov said on his Facebook page on Monday morning.

A day earlier, on May 2, some 5,094 new cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded, 8,549 new COVID-19 cases were reported on May 1, some 10,072 new cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded on April 30, some 11,627 new cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded on April 29, some 9,590 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported on April 28, some 7,915 new cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded on April 27, there were 5,062 new cases of COVID-19 infection on April 26, and on April 25, some 7,930 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported.

The number of infected since the beginning of the pandemic on Monday morning was 2.086 million people, 44,750 patients died and 1.682 million people recovered.

Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Dnipropetrovsk (360), Cherkasy (233), Sumy (231), Donetsk (202) and Kharkiv (164) regions.

Over May 2, 2021, some 177 people were vaccinated in Ukraine and 755,103 people were vaccinated since the beginning of the vaccination campaign.
