Ukraine’s PM, President of Switzerland discuss joint economic projects.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has stated that Switzerland is among five major investors in the Ukrainian economy and supports the country on the path of change and structural reforms.

"I was honored to welcome President of the Swiss Confederation Simonetta Sommaruga to the Ukrainian Government building. Switzerland is a reliable partner of Ukraine, one of five major investors in our economy and supports Ukraine on the path of change and structural reforms," Head of the Government of Ukraine posted on Telegram.

As noted, Shmyhal and Sommaruga discussed join projects on the manufacture of medical equipment and mechanical engineering products.

"I also told the Swiss delegation about the confident steps to complete the decentralization reform and to form a new administrative-territorial system," the Prime Minister added.

On July 20-23, President of the Swiss Confederation Simonetta Sommaruga makes a state visit to Ukraine at the invitation of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The program of the visit includes face-to-face talks and negotiations between delegations. It is planned to discuss a wide range of issues of bilateral Ukraine-Switzerland relations, as well as cooperation at the international level.

During the visit, Zelensky and Sommaruga are expected to make a joint working visit to Donbas to get acquainted with the security and socio-economic situation in the region and the progress of implementation of Swiss humanitarian aid projects.
