PS 752 plane crash in Tehran
Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami said that the investigation into the crash of the Ukrainian aircraft is under the strict control of the Iranian authorities, and its results will be made public. He said this at a government meeting after his return from Ukraine, Islamic Republic News Agency reports.
Eslami said that, according to international rules, an investigation into the causes of the plane crash should take place in the territory of the country where it occurred.
"Iran can seek help from other countries if decipherment of black boxes of Ukrainian Boeing appears to be a problem. At present, Iranian specialists are preparing software that will decrypt the contents of black boxes," the official said.
He also stressed that representatives of Ukraine and the Boeing company would join the investigation team. In addition, Iranian experts are in contact with the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board.
As we reported earlier, on January 20, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko and Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami discussed cooperation in the investigation of the Ukrainian Boeing-737 crash. The press center of the Ministry informed about it.
Prystaiko emphasized the importance of the issue of "transparent and unbiased" investigation of the tragedy and punishment of those responsible for Ukraine and the world. He also noted that Ukraine needed cooperation with Iran to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
