Command post of Russian BTG destroyed in south

Over the past day, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched seven strikes on the enemy, eliminating 35 invaders and six pieces of equipment in the south of Ukraine.

"The situation in our operational area remains tense and difficult, but its development is under the control of the defense forces. The enemy continues to conduct hostilities along the occupied defense line. There are no significant changes in the composition and position. Trying to regain the lost position, the enemy airborne assault platoon tried to carry out combat reconnaissance in the direction of the recently liberated Lozova. It did not succeed, retreated," the Operational Command "South" posted on Facebook.

On August 9, the aggressor launched two missile and three air strikes on the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Five air-launched cruise missiles were fired at the Air Force aircraft. The Ukrainian aviation didn’t suffer losses.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched seven airstrikes, hitting five locations of the enemy's manpower, weapons and equipment in Bashtanka, Beryslav and Kherson districts and two strongholds more than 40 km of Kherson.

In Beryslav district, the enemy also tried to conduct aerial reconnaissance with UAVs. Yet another Orlan-10 UAV was accurately downed by a Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile unit.

In total, 35 Russian soldiers, six armored vehicles and vehicles, including a T-72 tank and a command and staff vehicle, were eliminated over the past day.

In addition, an ammunition depot in Novooleksiivka and a command and observation post of the battalion tactical group of the enemy's 217th parachute landing regiment near the village of Maksyma Horkoho were destroyed.

"The ship group of the enemy's fleet, without changes in composition and tasks, continues to maneuver and pose the threat of a missile attack with 16 Kalibr missiles," the Operational Command "South" added.

As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 42,640 Russian invaders from February 24 to August 9.
