Reznikov, Austin discuss ‘path to Victory’ prior to Ramstein meeting.

In a phone call, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov and U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin discussed “the path to Victory”.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Prior to the upcoming Ramstein format meeting I had a conversation with my great friend, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. We compared notes on our cooperation and the path to Victory,” Reznikov wrote.

According to Reznikov, this genuine support of the Allies makes him very optimistic about the future.

“Solidarity becomes efficiency on the battlefield,” Reznikov added.

The conversation between the two defense leaders was also confirmed by Pentagon Press Secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder. In his words, “Secretary Austin provided an update of U.S. security assistance efforts, and Minister Reznikov detailed recent developments on the ground in Ukraine.”

A reminder that the next meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group will take place on March 15, 2023.
