Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has discussed with President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (ACC) Andy Hunder and Executive Director of the European Business Association (EBA) Anna Derevyanko the restart of the Council of Exporters and Investors at the Foreign Ministry and the synergy of business and diplomacy to develop trade and attract investments.
The Foreign Ministry’s reported this following a video conference of the officials that took place on May 19.
“In the United States, Asia and the EU countries, the protection of domestic business abroad, the development of trade, and the attraction of investments are among the key functions of the Foreign Ministry. Today we are building such an effective system of economic diplomacy in Ukraine. I invite the leading Ukrainian business to unite efforts,” said Kuleba.
In this regard, the Ukrainian minister reminded of the restart of the Council of Exporters and Investors at the Foreign Ministry and said that the meeting of its 80% renewed staff would take place on May 21.
Kuleba also shared his vision of interaction of the diplomatic system with business, which would enable filling the agenda of relations with other countries with real cooperation projects, liberalize trade, expand the geography of exports, and attract investments to Ukraine.
In turn, Derevyanko and Hunder expressed readiness to cooperate within the Council of Exporters and Investors, as well as in the development of the evaluation system and diplomatic education.
