Speaking of Maradona's departure, club president Gabriel Pellegrino said Maradona told him: "I want to add, not to divide."

Maradona did not take training today and this marks the end of his time at his EIGHTH club in management.

Pellegrino added: "Maradona stopped working today. He is no longer the manager of Gimnasia.

"He would love to stay but what he wants is unity."

Maradona - whose documentary Maradona in Mexico was released just days ago - was presented as manager on September 8.
