Russian-backed mercenaries continue shelling in Donbas.

President Volodymyr Zelensky held meeting with OSCE Chairman Edi Rama. Ukraine and OSCE discussed extension of SMM in Donbas.

On January 22 OSCE observers reported that two convoys came from Russia and crossed the Ukrainian border on January 21. 41 vehicles and 10 people were mentioned in the OSCE SMM's daily report.

The bodies of the Ukrainians, who died in a plane crash in Iran, were delivered to Ukraine on January 19. A farewell ceremony took place at Boryspil Airport. All Ukraine’s TV channels broadcasted the solemn event.

Iran’s official came to Ukraine with official apologies for downing civilian flight PS752.

Zelensky discussed transfer of PS 752 black boxes with representatives of Iran's President on January 20, and Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau demanded from Iran to pass the black boxes to France, however, two days later, Iran said they won’t give black boxes from crashed airliner.

In their second preliminary investigation report, Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization states that Boeing 737 was downed by two short-range missiles. Iranian side also asks U.S. and France to provide equipment for black boxes decryption.

About updates in Handziuk case

On Monday, Prosecutor General’s Office reported that the former assistant of the lawmaker Ihor Pavlovsky was notified on suspicion. He is involved in the criminal proceeding in the investigation of the case of the murder of public activist Kateryna Handziuk.

The law enforcers detained Pavlovsky, a former MP’s assistant. He is the defendant in the case of Kateryna Handziuk on suspicion in the heading criminal organization.

At the same time, head of Kherson regional council and the person of interest in the murder case of Kateryna Handziuk Vladyslav Manger filed the complaint to the European Court of Human Rights.
