"If we are talking about cafes and restaurants, summer terraces are now open. In addition, take away services are available. As for the full-fledged relaunch of restaurants and cafes, it could be from June 10," he said at a briefing on May 26, Ukrainian TSN TV news service reports.

According to Stepanov, the ministry feels for the entrepreneurs seeking to reopen their establishments, but the epidemiological situation in Ukraine does not allow this just yet, he adds.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Cabinet allowed cafes and restaurants to seat up to four patrons per table, while the previous rule allowed two persons max. At the same time, open-air seatings are subject to 1.5 m social distancing rules.
