Shakhtar beat Maccabi in Europa League round of 32

Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk have defeated Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv 2-0 in their UEFA Europa League round of 32 first leg match.

The game took place at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv on Thursday, February 18.

Brazilian midfielder Alan Patrick scored an opener in the 31st minute, and Brazilian forward Tete made it 2-0 in the 93rd minute.

The return match will take place at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kyiv on February 25.
