Brazilian leader thanks Zelensky for support in fight against COVID-19.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who tested positive for COVID-19, thanked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for his words of support in the fight against the disease.

“Thank you for your kind words and solidarity, President Zelensky. Brazil and Ukraine are united by strong ties of friendship,” Bolsonaro wrote on Twitter.

The Brazilian leader added that he looks forward to continuing to work with the President of Ukraine for the well-being of both peoples.

On July 7, the Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro, announced live on television that he had tested positive for coronavirus.

President Zelensky wished him and all Brazilians with COVID-19 a speedy recovery.
