President Volodymyr Zelensky considers it necessary to expand the geography of presence of Ukrainian embassies abroad and to appoint new ambitious heads of diplomatic missions.
He said this at the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. International Relations" on July 5, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We need to develop a diplomatic presence abroad, taking into account real priorities, and expand the geography of our embassies in various regions of the world. New, dynamic, ambitious, and fearless heads [of diplomatic missions] should be appointed," Zelensky said.
The president stressed that Ukraine should be organically integrated into international life and be an active player there.
"An integral part of the success of the foreign policy service is the well-coordinated functioning of a diplomatic system, which works for results and is not afraid to set ambitious goals, acts pragmatically, and remembers that the world respects strong, principled and consistent people," Zelensky added.
