Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said Ukraine and Great Britain will sign a memorandum on developing the Ukrainian Army's naval forces.

"The second question is the signing of a memorandum on developing the Navy – an important strategic document. We will be at the naval base and sign this memorandum worth GBP 1.25 billion," he said in a comment on his official visit to the UK, which has been transmitted to UNIAN.

Zelensky expressed his conviction Ukraine would again have a strong Navy.

"It seems to me this is an important, first and important step," he added.

On October 7, Zelensky started a two-day official visit to the UK.
