Woman nearly killed by subway train after fainting man knocks her onto tracks as rescuers scramble to help.

THIS is the shocking moment a woman cheated death after being knocked into the path of an oncoming subway train.

Heart-stopping footage shows the woman being inadvertently pushed onto the tracks in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after a man fainted into her on the platform edge.

Horrified commuters start frantically waving at the oncoming train as the man staggers to his feet.

The driver pulled the brake with just seconds to spare - coming to a halt within inches of the woman's head.

Good Samaritans then stepped onto the track to pull her to safety.

The incident took place at the line D Pueyrredon Metro station on Tuesday morning.

She was subsequently seen being helped by transport cops.

Local media dubbed her survival a "miracle".

Neither commuter has been identified.
