Later, the Zaporizhya resource "Actually", citing its own sources, reported that the victim was a local criminal authority nicknamed "Sarvan". He was an Azerbaijani by nationality.

According to "Strana" with reference to local publications, "Sarvan" was involved in the drug market in Zaporizhya, was the organizer of a criminal group, had connections with another influential local bandit - "Grigor".

"Sarvan" was stabbed near his own private house in Nyzhni Khortitsa in Zaporizhya.
