Hundreds Rally In Warsaw In Support Of Belarusian Journalist Pratasevich.

Belarusian opposition supporters held a rally in central Warsaw on May 29, almost a week after Raman Pratasevich and his girlfriend, Sofia Sapega, were arrested after a commercial airliner they were on was forced to land in Minsk. His parents addressed the rally, asking the international community to help free their son and all political prisoners in Belarus. The Warsaw rally followed a call by opposition leader Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya for a global day of solidarity on May 29 to support Belarusians in their struggle for democracy. The day marks the first anniversary of the start of protests in Belarus and the arrest of Tsikhanouskaya's husband, vlogger Syarhey Tsikhanouski, preventing him from running in last year's presidential election.
