Kyiv recorded warmest December night since 2003

The night of December 30 in Kyiv city has turned out to be the warmest since 2003, according to the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Borys Sreznevskyi.

“According to observations of the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Borys Sreznevskyi, the temperature did not drop below + 4.5 °C on the night of December 30, which is 1.5°C above the previous air temperature maximum of +3.0 °С recorded in 2003,” reads the report.

As reported by Ukrinform, the autumn of 2020 has become the warmest in Kyiv since 1881. During the autumn months, six temperature records were set in the capital.
