Ukraine informs OSCE about gross ceasefire violations by occupiers.

The Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna informed the delegations of the participating States about the cases of gross ceasefire violations by the armed formations of the Russian Federation in eastern Ukraine over the past two weeks.

During the meeting of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation on Wednesday, May 12, the Ukrainian mission showed schemes depicting cases of the occupiers’ use of heavy weapons prohibited under the Minsk agreements, as well as shelling of civilian infrastructure and residential buildings.

On April 25-27, the residential sector near the village of Vodiane, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region, came under artillery fire by the Russian-occupation forces. A 122mm artillery projectile hit a residential building.

On May 4, 120mm mortars and 122mm artillery systems were fired at a hospital in the village of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region. Fortunately, none of the patients or hospital staff were injured.

On May 5, the occupiers hit the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Popasna in Luhansk region. According to preliminary estimates, SPG-9 tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns, 82mm mortars, and anti-tank missile systems were used during the shelling.

In addition, on May 5, Russian armed formations fired 122mm artillery and 120mm mortars at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Pivdenne.

On May 8, Russian-occupation forces fired on a residential area in Marinka, using a 100mm anti-tank gun Rapira T-12. As a result, power supply lines, house facades, garages, and fences were damaged.

At the same time, the Russian-occupation forces opened provocative fire on the JCCC monitor group. Thus, on May 3 and May 5, a ZIL-131 car of the Mariupol monitor group was damaged in the occupiers’ shelling near Vodiane. The enemy used 120mm mortars, 122mm and 152mm artillery systems. As a result, four Ukrainian servicepersons were injured.

Another armed provocation by the Russian armed formations occurred on the morning of May 5, when the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine came under 152mm and 122mm artillery and 120mm mortar fire near Vodiane. As a result of this attack, four Ukrainian servicepersons were injured.
