Liverpool 4-2 Everton LIVE SCORE: Origi double piles pressure on Marco Silva in Merseyside thriller.

IT'S Merseyside Derby day with the city of Liverpool's two clubs in the middle of wildly contrasting seasons.

Jurgen Klopp's Reds are sitting pretty at the top of the table and have a fantastic chance of winning their first title since 1990.

But Marco Silva is on borrowed time as his Everton side sit in 17th place, just two points above the drop zone.

    LIVERPOOL 4-2 EVERTON

70' Morgan Schneiderlin is on for Davies.

Divock Origi and Adam Lallana are off and on come Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino.

That was some reception for Origi and rightly so.

66' Yellow card for Tom Davies.

He slides in late on Alexander-Arnold – the right-back has been in the thick of it tonight – and that is another simple decision for Mike Dean.

Gini Wijnaldum does well to stop sub Moise Keane down the Everton right.

63' Things have very much settled down in this half at Anfield.

Alexander-Arnold just catches Digne but there is no second yellow card – it would have been very harsh indeed.

Over at the King Power, goals from Jamie Vardy and James Maddison ensured Leicester won 2-0 and maintained their fine run – that's seven wins in a row for the Foxes.

And Vardy has scored in all seven of them.

54' Yerry Mina is struggling tonight.

He simply cannot deal with Origi, who wins a free-kick on the edge of the area.

It comes to nothing, though, as Shaqiri messes up by playing it short and then being flagged offside.

Can Everton launch a dramatic comeback or can the Reds extend their lead?

Leicester are doing all they can do to stay in touch with the Prem leaders by leading against Watford.
