Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba says there is no information about Ukrainians affected by wildfires near Athens.
“No reports of Ukrainians affected as of now. Ukraine stands by friendly Greece at this difficult time. We are ready to provide necessary support if called upon,” Kuleba posted on Twitter.
The minister instructed Ukrainian diplomats in Greece to monitor the needs of our citizens due to wildfires near Athens.
Thousands were forced to evacuate from their homes in the suburbs north of Athens Tuesday, as wildfires engulfed the outskirts of the Greek capital and continued to rage uncontrolled amid the country's worst heatwave in over 30 years.
