Spain to provide €14.5M to Ukraine to support World Food Programme
The Spanish government will provide Ukraine with extra €14.5 million to continue the development of the global food security program.
Ambassador of Spain to Ukraine Ricardo Lopez-Aranda Jagu said this at a briefing at the port of Chornomorsk, Ukrinform reports.
Last September, the Prime Minister of Spain announced at the UN General Assembly that Spain would provide more than €236 million to implement this program. Now Spain will add extra €14.5 million, the ambassador stated.
Russia's aggression against Ukraine has had a major impact on other countries. It has jeopardized global food security, the Spanish representative noted.
According to Jagu, this program shows how Ukraine extends a hand of friendship to its friends in need. The ambassador said he was gratified that Spain joined this program.

As reported, the Spanish Defense Ministry will send the first six Leopard 2A4 tanks to Ukraine by the end of next week.
