Yermak, Sullivan talk risks of Russian aggression to Europe’s ecosystem.
Head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak had a phone call with the U.S. President's National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, briefing his counterpart on the large-scale damage to the environment in Ukraine caused by Russian aggression, and how its consequences will affect the ecosystem in Europe.
This was reported by the website of the President’s Office, as seen by Ukrinform.
"Yermak informed his interlocutor on the current situation at the front and the decisions made by President Volodymyr Zelensky and military leadership of Ukraine regarding the course of the defense operation in the Bakhmut area," the statement reads.
The parties discussed international efforts to provide defense and financial support to Ukraine, which is fighting for the liberation of its territories from Russian occupation.

As noted in the report, the head of the President’s Office spoke of the abduction, deportation, and forcible adoption of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories. He emphasized that those guilty of these crimes against the Ukrainian people must be held accountable.
Yermak briefed Sullivan on the large-scale damage to the environment in Ukraine inflicted by Russian aggression. He noted that its consequences will affect the entire European ecosystem. Therefore, according to the head of the President’s Office, the world should make maximum efforts to stop the destructive impact of aggression on the environment and hold Russia accountable, as laid down in the Ukrainian peace formula.

The head of the President’s Office thanked the U.S. President, Congress, and the entire American people for their constant and strong support of Ukraine in its fight for territorial integrity, freedom, and European democratic values.
As reported by Ukrinform, Yermak discussed with the U.S. Army general the Kyiv Security Treaty, which proposes to increase Ukraine's capability to defend itself in order to guarantee peace.
