Due to the coronavirus pandemic, over 11 thousand people returned to Ukraine over past day. The press service of the government stated this data.

Almost 19 thousand people crossed the Ukrainian border over the past day, of which more than 11 thousand people are Ukrainians who returned from abroad.

Also, 2,370 foreigners were issued for departure, and almost 30 foreign citizens were not allowed into the country due to quarantine.

It should be noted that in total about 90 thousand people have already been evacuated to Ukraine since the termination of air traffic between the countries.

As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers has prolonged a lockdown across the country for 30 days.

The government also has made the decision to introduce an emergency situation in Ukraine for a period of 30 days. Thus, it is expected to end on April 24, 2020.

"Statistics show that cases have been identified. Unfortunately, these statistics continue to worsen," Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal stated.
