MPS don't support appeal to US Congress on granting MNNA to Ukraine.

Members of parliament did not support the appeal of the Verkhovna Rada to the US Congress on granting Ukraine the bilateral status of Major non-NATO ally (MNNA).

Twenty-four MPs voted for corresponding resolution No. 5380 (a minimum of 226 votes in support is required to make a decision).

The explanatory note to the draft resolution says that the appeal to the US Congress to grant Ukraine the bilateral status of the Major non-NATO ally (MNNA) is justified by the ongoing military aggression led by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the supply of weapons, military equipment and ammunition by the Russian Federation for illegal armed groups.
