National Health Service transfers over UAH 1.3B for doctors’ raised salaries

The National Health Service of Ukraine transferred more than UAH 1.3 billion to medical institutions under additional agreements to pay increased salaries for health workers in September and October, the press service of the National Health Service wrote on Facebook.

"Some 1,515 healthcare institutions have already received payments totaling over UAH 1.2 billion for September from the National Health Service of Ukraine under additional agreements. Some 141 institutions have received payments totaling UAH 101.8 million for October from the National Health Service of Ukraine. This means that the National Health Service of Ukraine has already transferred over UAH 1.3 billion to institutions to pay increased salaries for doctors for September and October," reads a report.

The National Health Service reminded that medical institutions that provide specialized, highly specialized, palliative care, medical rehabilitation and emergency care would receive additional funding to increase the salaries of health workers from September 1. Institutions that received less funding under the Medical Guarantee Program than last year under the subvention are also entitled to additional payments.
