McDonald’s is launching a chicken burger with NAAN bread as the bun.

MCDONALD’S is launching a new chicken burger with naan bread replacing the traditional bun, The Sun can reveal.

The Indian Chicken features two Chicken Selects with an Indian style relish, garlic mayo, red onion, lettuce and cucumber.

But instead of the usual sesame seed bun, the chicken is sandwiched between two mini garlic naan breads.

The Indian Chicken burger will be available to order from September 25 until October 22.

Priced at £4.19 for the individual sandwich or £5.89 as a medium meal, the burger is part of McDonald’s Great Tastes of the World promotion.

Featuring flavours from different countries, the new selection will see a range of beef and chicken burgers on rotation for the next eight weeks.

The French Stack with Garlic Mayo September 25 – October 8 (Individual burger = £4.39 / Medium meal = £5.99)

The Canadian Stack with Maple BBQ Sauce October 9 – October 22 (Individual burger = £4.39 / Medium meal = £5.99)

The Swiss Stack with Emmental Cheese Sauce October 23 – November 5 (Individual burger = £4.39 / Medium meal = £5.99)

The Italian Stack with Pesto Style Mayo November 6 – November 19 (Individual burger = £4.39 / Medium meal = £5.99)

The Indian Chicken in a Garlic Naan September 25 – October 22 (Individual burger = £4.19 / Medium meal = £5.89)

The Jamaican Chicken with Spicy Jerk Sauce October 23 – November 19 (Individual burger = £4.39 / Medium meal = £5.99)

Beef burgers will change every fortnight, while the chicken sandwiches will stay for four weeks.

As part of the range, McDonald's has confirmed it’s releasing a new version of the Canadian Melt, last seen on the menu in 2015.

This time round it’ll be called the Canadian Stack and it has a new bun, new maple BBQ sauce, two beef burgers, smokey bacon and cheese.

The Indian Chicken is the best on the menu for calorie counters, weighing in at 590 calories while the Canadian Stack has 686.

McDonald's has around 1,200 restaurants in the UK and you can find your nearest one here.

The Great Tastes of the World range will be available to order as a delivery from your home from 850 restaurants.
