The Office of the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration will start consultations with business on the renewal of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in late July.
"The renewal of the Association Agreement is a multi-level process that will be launched in a bilateral format over time, but the elaboration of Ukraine’s strong position should be based not only on government analysis but should also be supported with business proposals. Very soon, by the end of this month, the dialogues with business will start. By the end of July, we will form a circle of experts who, together with businesses, will identify key focuses that will become the basis of our negotiating position," Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna said at the briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The official explained that a structured sectoral dialogue and general consultations, organized by the Office of the Vice Prime Minister in coordination with other ministries, would be held.
The transparency of this process is key to its success, Stefanishyna noted.
The EU-Ukraine summit is scheduled for October 1.
